  1. The sources directory contains messages extracted directly from the C
  2. source file. Don't work there. These file are automaticly maintained
  3. by the "make msg" command. Your work will be lost.

  5. Instead, create a separate directory, say "francais" for french language
  6. and copy the content of the source directory there, then edit each file
  7. and add a translation for each message. Please look at
  8. translate/translat.doc for some explanation. Doing this correctly will
  9. tremendously help during the maintenance phase (when new releases of
  10. Linuxconf are done).
